Institutional Economics

This focuses on understanding the role of the evolutionary process and the role of institutions in shaping economic behaviour. It is basically a school of economics that emphasises the importance of non-market factors (such as social institutions) in influencing economic behaviour and economic analysis being subordinated to consideration of sociological factors, history, and institutional development.
